Plate Heat Exchanger type
1. Plate heat exchangers are the preferred option in ventilation system
Where any circulation of air is undesirable
2. The incoming and out going air stream are completely isolated and no moisture or odors can be transferred

2. Total capacity :- MBH,BTU OR Kw
3. Sensible Capacity :- MEH, BTU OR Kw
4. Fresh air :- CFM OR L/S
5. Fresh air Temperature :- 'F OR 'C
6. Exhaust air :- CFM OR L/S
7. Exhaust air temperature :- 'F OR 'C
8. Entering coil air temperature :- 'F OR 'C
9. Leaving Coil air temperature :- 'F OR 'C

FCU Types and Construction
Fan Coil Unit types,There is a two types of units
1. Direct Expansion FCU
2. Chilled Water FCU
Fan Coil Unit (FCU)
1. Fan Coil Unit consist of only a fan and a Heating or Cooling element are located with in the space they are serving
2. They may either just recirculate internal air, In which cause a separate ventilation system is required or may introduce proportion of fresh air that is mixed with the recirculate air
3. Fan Coil units can be wall mounted, freestanding or ceiling mounted and may be concealed in ceiling voids
They may be controlled by local thermostats or by a building management system (BMS)
Direct Expansion FCU
Direct Expansion fan coil units (FCU) Consist of only a fan and a heating or Cooling element, are located with in the space they are serving cooled by using refrigerant
Chilled Water Fan Coil Unit (FCU)
Chilled Water Fan Coil Unit (FCU) consist of only a fan and a Heating or Cooling element are located with in the space they are serving cooled by using water
